An alpha empath, Danyael Sabre has survived abominations and super soldiers, terrorists and assassins, but he cannot survive his failing body. He wants only to live out his final days in peace, but life and the woman he loves, the assassin Zara Itani, have other plans for him. Galahad, the perfect human being created by Pioneer Labs, is branded an international threat, and Danyael is appointed his jury, judge, and executioner. Danyael alone believes that Galahad can be the salvation that the world needs, but is the empath blinded by the fact that Galahad shares his genes, and the hope that there is something of him in Galahad? In a desperate race against time and his own dying body, Danyael struggles to find fragments of good in the perfect human being, and comes to the wrenching realization that his greatest battle will be a battle for the heart of the man who hates him. perfection-challenged-600x800

Recipient of six literary awards, including first place in Science Fiction, Reader Views Literary Awards. "Higher octane than Heroes. More heart than X-Men." Danyael Sabre spent sixteen years clawing out of the ruins of his childhood and finally has everything he wanted—a career, a home, and a trusted friend. To hold on to them, he keeps his head down and plays by the rules. An alpha empath, he is powerful in a world transformed by the Genetic Revolution, yet his experience has taught him to avoid attention. When the perfect human being, Galahad, escapes from Pioneer Laboratories, the illusory peace between humans and their derivatives—the in vitros, clones, and mutants—collapses into social upheaval. The abominations, deformed and distorted mirrors of humanity, created unintentionally in Pioneer Lab’s search for perfection, descend upon Washington D.C. The first era of the Genetic Revolution was peaceful. The second is headed for open war. Although the genetic future of the human race pivots on Galahad, Danyael does not feel compelled to get involved and risk his cover of anonymity, until he finds out that the perfect human being looks just like him. The Enchanter Heir by Cinda Williams Chima Review

Ages 12 and up
They called it the Thorn Hill Massacre-the brutal attack on a once-thriving Weir community. Though Jonah Kinlock lived through it, he did not emerge unscathed: like the other survivors Jonah possesses unique magical gifts that set him apart from members of the mainline guilds. At seventeen, Jonah has become the deadliest assassin in Nightshade, a network that hunts the undead.

Emma Claire Greenwood grew up worlds away, raised by a grandfather who taught her music rather than magic. An unschooled wild child, she runs the streets until the night she finds her grandfather dying, gripping a note warning Emma that she might be in danger. The clue he leaves behind leads Emma into Jonah's life-and a shared legacy of secrets and lingering questions.

Was Thorn Hill really a peaceful commune? Or was it, as the Wizard Guild claims, a hotbed of underguild terrorists? The Wizards' suspicions grow when members of the mainline guilds start turning up dead. They blame Nightshade, bringing tensions between the groups to a head.
Racing against time, Jonah and Emma work to uncover the truth about Thorn Hill, amid increasing concern that whoever planned the Thorn Hill Massacre might strike again.

Review: First off I would like to say how I adore Cinda as an author, plus she's from Ohio. Woot Woot! To say the least I am pumped she has come out with a new book that is based on her Heir Chronicle world. The best part of this new book for me was the fact that a ton of characters from the other books are still involved slightly but we are exploring a whole new aspect of the series. The author really invents some interesting new characters and keeps that essential balance of action and lovers tension. Jonah and Emma defiantly have a spark and when the stories done you will be screaming for the next one to hurry and come out.
The thing about this story is we get to learn about all new environments, as well as, delving deeper into Trinity. Another aspect I really appreciated is how tough the hero and heroine are, they can both hold there own.

Diamond Candle review+giveaway

The other day I ordered and received a candle from the diamond candle company. There were lots of fragrance choices from Birthday Cake to Blue Lagoon, but I went with Peachy Mango. It had a very fruity smell and I really enjoyed the special surprise that comes with the candle. That's right every candle comes with a ring inside of it. The ring is wrapped in foil and sealed inside a baggy so you don't have to worry about was getting on the ring. The ring that came in my candle was a pretty green and diamond flower pattern. The candle has where the ring is marked on the glass by the way so you know where to look for it. According to the company rings can be worth anywhere from $10-$5,000 and the candles themselves are made from soy. Which all you farmers, organic, and environmentally concerned consumers know that is a big win.

What I liked: The candle is big and made from soy.
What I didn't like: I could smell the candle but I wish it was just a tad stronger, also the ring was cute but it would be cool to know how much its worth.

Now for the fun part! Use the rafflecopter below and enter to win a candle of your choice at no cost to you.
